Sorry to hear about your situation. I don't know the specific book you're referring to, but I did a search for how to kick your partner out of the business (https://www.google.com/search?num=100&site=&source=hp&q=how+to+kick+your+partner+out+of+the+business&oq=how+to+kick+your+partner+out+of+the+business) and there are lots of results. Maybe one of them mentions the book you're looking for or similar books.
I take it there's no way to part ways amicably and buy out his half of the business. I would think his drug use would give you a lot of leverage when it comes to negotiating a way to have him leave the business, though it may also remove a lot of his reasonability.
Hopefully someone behind me knows the book and more importantly hopefully you find a way to resolve this.
