holding special events

I was wondering if any of the small business owners here hold special events that are educational, for fun, or would drive customers to your store to by things. I have an idea that might help retail stores similar to the way bars host events to drive drink sales.

If anyone would be willing to chat with me about this idea (or their personal experiences) I would greatly appreciate it.

I have clients that do things like customer appreciation events, educational presentations and things like that.
