Excuse me if this is a repost. I have been researching for a simple billing system that I plan to use once my business is up and going. Any suggestions on the many online or "cloud based" systems?

Some of my requirements would be as follows.

Very affordable or free. (shoestring business)
Able to take payments via online, direct deposit, paypal etc...(many options)
Printable/pdf type receipts to validate payment

Also, please list other features that I may find helpful that I'm overlooking. Rookie here.

Thanks-

another request....... A complimentary program that would easily transfer the data from billing to accounting. If an all inclusive system(software) is available that would also be a plus!

Pricing apparently depends on where you are... but if you're in the US and $27/mo qualifies as "affordable"... then Quickbooks Online (http://quickbooks.intuit.com/) would be my recommendation.

If you separate your needs, PayPal can likely handle all of your electronic payments for about 3% of your invoice amount. After that, you can do free invoicing with Freshbooks... but billing is just one part of the accounting problem, so you might as well go with a full accounting system like QB or QB Online instead of just a "billing system".

Thanks guys. I will look over those options.

In my recent searching I have ran across the free online software. Wave https://www.waveapps.com/ and Stripe https://stripe.com/
Wave seems to handle all of the internal needs and Stripe is a second software app that can be easily integrated with Wave to take credit card payments. Unlike Paypal, Stipe has no monthly fee, but pretty sure I saw that they do charge 2.5% + .30c.

Anyway, worth a look. Thanks again.
