What do you mean by, "... obtain the funds to pay for my labor and not be paid by the homeowner." You don't want to be paid by the homeowner?

Do you mean that you want them to pay the business and than the business will pay you a salary?
You will first have to set up your business. Either Sole proprietor, LLC or Corporation or both is as much as I know regarding that end.
