I'm sorry but I don'the like any of those names. I don't understand what you do from those names. But I do understand how difficult naming your business is.

When I was working on my business name I ruled out things I didn't want in the name and made sure to include what I thought was important. I was providing a service, bookkeeping, so I wanted that in my name. I knew at that time I would eventually be moving to a different area of the country so I didn't want anything about area or location in my name. I also didn't want my last name in my business in case I ever got married and changed my last name. So I took the word bookkeeping and wrote down a list of adjectives that described what I wanted my bookkeeping business to be. Then I looked in a thesaurus to find words similar to what I had written down. And came up with my business name.

I know I probably made it complicated, but I am not very creative.

If I just take a quick glance at these names and form a quick impression of what the business is, this is what I get.

- Ad Vitam International Sounds like a vitamin business
- Anima International Sounds like a veterinarian business
- Kentel International Sounds like a kennel
- Clear-Cut International Sounds like a plastics business
- AdvisorOne International School advisor but might seem like a consultant.
- WhiteRook International Chess supply or books
- Quantum Satis International Sounds like heath salts or a spa
- Austerlitz International Sounds like a concentration camp
- A.C.E.S. International Casino
- Armorica International Military
- Agora Nova International Agricultural equipment

Austerlitz International Sounds like a concentration camp

I have a client who is a history buff and sometimes includes that knowledge as part of his passwords...

The Battle of Austerlitz (2 December 1805/11 Frimaire An XIV FRC), also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, was one of the most important and decisive engagements of the Napoleonic Wars. Widely regarded as the greatest victory achieved by Napoleon, the Grande Armée of France annihilated a larger Russian and Austrian army led by Tsar Alexander I and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II. The battle took place near the village of Austerlitz in the Austrian Empire (modern-day Slavkov u Brna in the Czech Republic). Because of the near-perfect execution of a calibrated but dangerous plan, the battle is often seen as a tactical masterpiece of the same stature as Cannae, the celebrated triumph by Hannibal some 2,000 years before.[5] The French victory brought the War of the Third Coalition to a rapid end, with the Treaty of Pressburg signed by the exhausted Austrians later that month.

Back to the OP... hate them all. They don't convey any information to assist with your branding and marketing. If you're really going to focus on asian sourcing consulting, then include something related to that in the name so that you clear the first hurdle of people remembering what you do.

It's as if you're trying to sound like a non-descriptive, generic, boring company that doesn't specialize in anything and could be gone in a month and no one would notice.

Exactly, I always prefer business names that say what it is. What would be wrong with simply "Asian Sourcing Company", or "Asian sourcing and consulting".

Hi RW4N, These names don't give me context. Nothing about these names tell me what you do; there's no emotional trigger with each of them and I'm left feeling very confused. Can you give us some more details on your business?

Completely agree turboguy. I thought the same things with each of these.

I exactly understand what you are aiming for here, RW4N.

Personally I do think "Asian sourcing and consulting", but hey that's my opinion. If you really want to impress people with your name then just go random.
And what seems like a non-descriptive name now, can be a well know name later. Just have a look at Google. What does their name mean?
But let me get something straight now. If you choose a non-descriptive name than you really have work hard on your brand awareness so people immediately know what your company is about. If you don't have the money for this or you don't want to put effort in it, then you most likely should consider choosing for a descriptive name like Paul suggested.

Anyway, you would like to hear our opinions about the names you presented. Well I think you should pick WhiteRock (instead of WhiteRook), since a colorname and an object together mostly fit pretty well.

It's a play on the word Googol, which is the number 10 raised to the 100th power (10100), written out as the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros.

Interesting, did not know that.
