Hi Everyone, I'm involved with a startup company that is in its infancy, and we need your help! The company is doing some research about a new service they will be offering and we need up to 100 people to fill out a short survey about the service.

This is your chance to affect the future of a growing company. Be as honest as you want. All responses are completely anonymous and we're not collecting any contact information in any way. Please help us out by filling out the survey here:

I didn't respond to the survey, because I'm not in your market. I don't have a physical storefront and the issues your product solves are issues for my business. It looks like a good service, but it's not anything I need. I wanted to reply to your thread to keep it active.

For those of you wondering

ProStep is a company devoted to providing slip-resistant flooring solutions

If you that sounds like something you might find useful, you might want to check the survey. It's a quick one.

I looked at it and stopped when the question of how much would I be willing to pay came up.

I've worked on pretty much every flooring type you can think of and the worst ones are those that turn into skating rinks. Given the description that is before the survey starts, I don't think they have a solid service to offer. Etching alone is only half the job. There has to be a coating, or multiple coatings, applied to maintain surface integrity.

Are you saying that etching doesn't do anything? What would be the point of etching if you coat the floor afterwards? I'm not sure what kind of process you're talking about.

The problem, and I'm basing this on my own experience, with etching alone, especially with softer stone (concrete and tile mostly), is that it will cause excessive erosion and dust. I find in a shop environment that plain concrete and untreated tile don't hold up, at least on the surface, to high traffic and constant dragging and friction.

If my observations are wrong, please correct me.

Haven't you thought of using CRM? As far as I know bpm'online has good marketing software. You can check their online crm tools (https://www.bpmonline.com/crm-products).
