I learned a lot from the SBA when I first started a business. I went to several one day classes they had and it helped lessen the confusion and feelings of being overwhelmed. I still learned plenty on my own, but they pointed me in the right direction and made me aware of things I wouldn't have thought about. Definitely, glad I took advantage of the opportunity to ask people questions.

I'll echo Harold's recommendation. The SBA is a good resource, especially when you're first starting in business.
