Our team of 7 people is in search of a project / task management system. Most us work remotely.
Requirements:
Free or very low cost
Cloud solution
Simple interface
Project templates (optional)
The executor should create a task by template, and then send it to approval for the director. The director can accept or reject it. Also in the case of the task closing by the executor - the manager must be able to see and control it.
A calendar view like in Gannt Pro or Asana (optional)
We’ve already tried and rejected this: MS Project, Bitrix 24, Trello, Wrike, WorkFlowSoft. It’s just not it.
We’d be grateful for suggestions.

What do you consider "low cost". What you want exists and there are solutions that can be customized to suit your needs. But if it needs to be close to free, then you're probably going to have to patch a few things together. IMO you won't get exactly what you want for free.

Check out Atlassian: https://www.atlassian.com/
and Soho: https://www.zoho.com/.
and G-Suite: https://gsuite.google.com/
G-Suite is cheap, but it didn't check off the "easy to use" box for me at first. I think Google's stuff is ridiculously complicated until you get used to it.

To me the obvious solution is MS. It has all of those tools and more. https://business.microsoft.com/en-US/

Have you tried Basecamp? Or the price is too high?
Also I can recommend Deskun, it's somehow close to GQueues in features, and integrates with Gmail too.
