I realize this place - Spokeo (http://www.spokeo.com/) - has been around for a few years but I just found out about them this week. They compile an amazing amount of information - definitely more than I'm comfortable with.

I also thought it was interesting that I could delete our profiles based on our names, but not on our email addresses.

Ahhh that is one plus of being Canadian at least in this case. It seems that they're only collecting US info.

Thats why good email management is a good idea.

Interesting thing, though. My bbenson email gets a small amount of spam and it's what I use on forums.

Some of my business emails, particularly the one I use to respond to customers gets a lot of spam.

I atribute this to my email in infected customer computers.

My web emails are protected either through JavaScript or forms. They get no spam. I send NO emails from those addresses howerver.

I've never heard of it. How did you delete your profile? I don't see that option.

ETA: Never mind, I found the link to delete in the FAQ's. Thanks for the heads up.

Never heard of this either. Guess I'll have to take a look at it.
