Just one more step to Google becoming the worlds integrated "Net" where we are all connected by surgical implants.

There was (I think) an Outer Limits episode where mankind was connected to the net via surgical implants and wifi (The Steam) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stream_of_Consciousness_%28The_Outer_Limits%29, with the exception of a few who didn't take to the procedure and they were treated as if something was wrong with them because they weren't online.

Everyone was highly intelligent because they had instant access to all the worlds knowledge and information (which also drove some of them crazy) , but they couldn't function without their implants..they didn't even know how to read because books were obsolete.

We are getting pretty close to that now. Kind of like a Borg Collective.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borg_%28Star_Trek%29#Borg_Collective

I know I look at people strange when they tell me that they don't have a computer or don't use the internet. To me it's as if they live underground or something.
Anyone that tells me that they don't know ANYTHING about the internet, I always picture that they live in a shack with black and white T.V. and wood burning stove.

I saw that yesterday too along with a video of one of them on a California highway.

I remember that Outer Limits episode too. Funny you should mention the Borg, eborg, because when you first joined I thought your user name had something to do with them. Only when you mentioned you're an Earnest Borgnine fan did I get it. Speaking of Earnie, he's in his 90's now and still active.

Found one on You Tube(of course)

I do remember the competitions for automated cars a while back.
