Clay my blog is now part of the Smashing Network of sites. I've done some writing for Smashing Magazine both in front of and at the moment behind the scenes. I should have some more posts for them in a couple of months too. It's nice when they tweet one of my posts. It can easily lead to a thousand or two visits to the article over the course of a day and generally leads to more new subscribers than usual.
