I don't have a good answer for you, but I wanted to reply in the hopes of bringing your question to the attention of someone who might know. My first thought is of the 3, Microsoft has the biggest name and you know they aren't going anywhere. Of course they are the most expensive of the 3. The last (POS Software) does offer a free trial and a free demo. I suppose you could give that a try to see how it works for you.

How tech savvy are you? We needed point of sale software for our trade show booth where we sell products. It's basically like setting up a retail store for a weekend. We found open source software (http://keyhut.com/pos.htm) that did everything we wanted and didn't cost us a dime. It is DOS based, which isn't for everyone, but we've been using it for a couple of years now, doing about 10 shows a year, and it's worked beautifully.

Just thought I'd throw that out there in case it was an option.

I'm not that tech savvy with computers,There's a free open-source openbravo that I was told about you think I could install the software:p.

The program also needs to work with a touch screen monitor and easy for a employee when the time comes.

I've never worked in retail, but I used touch screen P.O.S software for years in Food and Beverage and Micros is the standard. It must work with retail too because Ive seen it at malls and obviously a lot of bars and restaurants sell clothing and other items.

The Con? It's expensive (at least it used to be).
The Pro? It's the best.

I also know that Dell is pretty big in retail. I have definitely seen Dell software running in stores and small business shops for years. Even my local Supermarket chain uses it at the customer service desk:
