I remember coming across a term/name for new retail stores that is in operation for less than 12 months. Does anyone know the term/name?
Same-store sales comparison will normally exclude these new stores.
Thanks in advance!

Same-store sales comparisons also exclude stores that have closed during the period.
I'm not familiar with any term for them other than "new stores" or "stores open for less than 12 months". Generally speaking, the sales from those stores are not as interesting to the ongoing health of a retail brand, because you have no way to properly evaluate their success.
Sounds like something specific to a particular service. Not necessary an industry wide designation. Can you give a little more information of who exactly is excluding new stores based on how long they have been in business?
Seasonal stores? Doubtfully. Either way, this doesn't relate to accounting/taxes.

Not sure about the store type names.. but we have quite a bit of stores open up for a few months (halloween, or fire cracker stores) and then close down when they're not needed.
