Default Those using Cash Basis Accounting do you also do Accrual on the side?

    Hello,

I hope business is good !

I use cash basis accounting for my business and have always done accrual on the side to see how we do for a certain month or year (or any time period).

Is anyone else doing this and how do you do it? Do you do it manually in excel or use an accounting program? Or do not bother and why? Im looking to find a smooth way to do this.

    Thank you very much !!

I use cash basis and never thought to compare it to accrual. Cash basis just seemed a lot easier to do when I started.

If I were to compare accrual I'd probably put things in a spreadsheet or try a different program than what I currently use to keep track of my billing. I'm not sure what the advantage would be though?

Is there a reason you want to look at both methods?

I prefer using an accrual basis. It keeps me employed.
