What do you guys think about the fine jewelry market and for those small timers who wants to start a business as well sell online?

My immediate opinion is that's not the first thing I would think about as an online business. But then again, I don't know enough about jewelry to propose that I could sell it well enough to look credible to the discerning eye.

Just curious, what made you decide to get into selling jewelry online? Have you worked in the industry before? Do you purchase a lot of jewelry? Why this specifically?

There are people who sell handmade jewelry on Etsy and do quite well, but that's mostly unique stuff. Are you looking to sell pieces you've made or pieces you buy and resell. I imagine the market is different as are the places you'd sell depending on what you want to do.
